Estate History: Since 1739. The wine named after the steep slope of the Balloquets
hills. 40% steep. Indeed it is a real “hell” for the harvesters of Robert PERROUD to handpick the grapes every year.
Grape Variety: 100% Gamay Noir
Farming: Estate certified HVE. Sustainable farming and ORGANIC.
Tasting Notes: At first, a red garnet robe with cherry tints. Then, the nose is complex showing redberries, flowers and spicy notes. Overall, the palate is silky and round, with a
lot of fruits and mineral on the finish.
Food Pairing recommendations: Try it with grilled meat, roasted chicken, and why
not mexican food.

Robert Perroud’s domaine has been passed from his grandfather, to his father, and finally to himself. Robert’s main goeal is to observe and protect the biodiversity within the vineyard.
