First the estate has existed since 1840 in Saint-Julien in the south of Beaujolais in Saint-Julien. It was in 2014 that Jean-Baptiste Duperray took over the family estate. Since its creation, the estate has continued to grow. Jean-Baptiste operates the vines and his brother, Gaëtan, the cows.
Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir, Hand-picked harvests
Ageing: Ageing in oak barrels for one part and in stainless steel for the most part during 12 months.
Tasting Notes: At first, this Bourgogne has a nice personality. A finesse and a rather elegant “Terroir” define the wine style. Then, its dark ruby colour with shades is brilliant. At last, the nose is open on notes of black fruit (blackberry, blackcurrant). The tasting confirms this fine and balanced character with an interesting texture. Overall, on the palate, this wine has fine tannins and an elegant finish that emphasises the notion of pleasure.
Food Pairing Recommendations: First, The perfect pairing would be with red meats, white meats such as grilled poultry, sausages , grilled meats, dinner aperitifs, vegetables.
Finally, many cheeses will be perfectly accompanied such as Epoisses or Soumaintrains. It is a wine that fits easily with cuisines from all countries and origins.
