Located in the southern Rhône Valley, Vacqueyras is a charming Provençal village. Its quaint, narrow streets that lead toward the church, houses nestled against the ramparts and cottages are part of its charms.
Grape Variety: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre.
Tasting Notes:
At first this vacqueyras has a dark ruby colour with shades of purple. Then, you will enjoy red fruits and candied fruits on the nose such as figs with aromas of spices and leather.
Overall, the taste is rich and powerful with persistent tannins.

The name “Vacqueyras” derives from the Latin “Valléa Quadreria,”. It means “valley of stones.”
Indeed, the village embodies authenticity and a distinct ‘art of living.’
Evidence of vine cultivation here dates back to the Middle Ages, when the area was engaged in mixed farming, including olive groves, mulberry trees for silkworm production, and vineyards.
In 1414, the first land registry of the Comtat Venaissin noted the existence of vines in the village, and by 1448, taxes on grape and wine harvests were recorded. Vine cultivation has thus been a longstanding tradition in Vacqueyras, and today, it remains the village’s primary agricultural focus, with 1,460 hectares dedicated to vineyards.
