Mercurey white Albert Brenot
Mercurey white Vintage available now is 2020
Flagship appellation of the Côte Châlonnaise, Mercurey is a large village which on its 645 Hectares produces only 20% of white wines. The best slopes
are of course sought after. Blanc de Mercurey in its best origins can compete with other more reputable appellations.
Hand harvest on those parcels.
Grape Variety: 100% Chardonnay
Wine Tasting Notes: The pale yellow gold color is limpid. The floral aromas are mixed with grapefruit and citrus on very mineral bases.
Equipped with a good presence in the mouth, the tasting is also characterised by a fruity substance (quince, apple) well enveloped by tannins
fine and vanilla. The whole presents a freshness that goes hand in hand with an unctuous and greedy style.
Drink it within 3 to 5 years.
Ideal serving temperature: 13-14°C.
Food Pairing Suggestions: A good parsley ham in the middle of a charcuterie platter will make our mouths water. But it is certain that with two or three years of quenelles ageing, a
veal blanquette or a chicken with cream will be the assurance of a successful meal.
about the winery
Founded in 1849 by Albert Brenot in Savigny-lès-Beaune, the winery is one of the oldest Burgundy wine Maisons. In 1933 the Doudet family aquired it and developed and expanded the Maison while preserving its fundamental values: respect for traditions and excellence.
For almost two centuries we have been producing great wines with a single goal:to reveal and highlight the Burgundy terroir while respecting the values that we hold dear: authenticity and quality.
