The Grand Vin of the property, the Château Peyrabon 2018 reveals the typicality of a wine from Haut-Médoc.
First, nestled on the left bank of the Bordeaux region, the Château Peyrabon estate expands over an exceptional vineyard.
Indeed, this vineyard with a gravelly rump terroir suits perfectly the appellation’s signature grape variety, Cabernet Sauvignon.
Grape Varieties” a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (49%), complemented beautifully by Merlot (35%), Cabernet Franc (5%) and Petit Verdot (3%).
The wine is traditionally aged in oak barrels (of which 29% is new wood) for a period of 14 months.
Tasting Notes: First, the aromas are earthy, red berry dominated with hints of tobacco, dedar and forest leaves.
This Haut Medoc needs to be decanted for an hour prior to tasting. It will accomodate any meat dish and dry cheeses such as Beaufort or Comte 24 months.

Its current owner Patrick Bernard, fell under the spell of the charming 50 hectare estate in 1998.
